Question #1:

Scooter Modifications?

I want to modify my 90cc petrol motorbike just to improve the efficiency and possibly the range that it can go. I'm not too concerned about the performance.
Here's the mod list that I've thought up:

Free flowing exhaust with resonated piping, grounding kit,new spark plug with a new wire and intake with a panel filter.

Maintenence: Seafoam engine treatment, High grade oil with new oil filter and 95 octane fuel.

I am on a budget so no crazy expensive stuf.

Do you think that this a good list?

Question #2:

Mechanics please read!! Car has rough idle, stalls at red light and stop signs, poor acceleration.?

I have a 1991 Cadillac Fleetwood, 84,000 miles. I'm have some serious issuse with the car mechanically. My car has rough idle, stalls at red light and stop signs, poor acceleration.

The garage says take it to the dealer. Possible cam lobes are worn they say. How would they know? Because they didn't open up the engine. I put some fuel injection cleaner into it a couple months ago and it ran perfect, then once it clear I was back to square one again. Could worn cam lobes make my car stall when I stop? Could it be a sticky valve? Can I try engine treatment to loosen valves? The Garage told me to get rid of the car and buy a new one. : (
thanks for the quick responses guys. I got new plugs, wire, caps, distrubitor, fuel filter when i bought the car. if its the injectors, the garage could diagnosis this.

Question #3:

I personally think the media is making to much of this situation and are helping fuel the Cabbies fiffteen mintues of fame and his poor me attitude whats your thoughts?

Question #4:

Why does Walmart sell Green Spotted Puffer Fish?

How is it legal for Walmart to sell GSP fish in freshwater tanks, list it as a freshwater fish, say it eats flakes, and allow people to buy them misinformed which ultimately dooms the fish?

Granted, I bought mine from Walmart, and all that does is fuel their desire to sell more to line their pockets. I did it more to save the fish's lives given I really wanted one and better to save one from certain doom, than get a regular one at a store that cares for them properly.

I just don't see how it can be allowed. These fish end up sick from being poorly cared for, given its WALMART! They are stuck in freshwater when they need brackish. They are fed flakes when they should be eating bloodworms, shrimp, snails, ect. The buyers are told they can live in a fishbowl based on the BS saying of 1 inch of fish per gallon. The people who buy them never convert them to salt water as they grow, or even bother to learn they are killing their fish.

I mean, isn't this animal cruelty? If they were selling dogs and feeding them cat food, and recommending them be in cages 1/10 the size they need, and allowed to suffer and die from being in an environment they are not suited to would not people protest? Would not people be arrested?

I just don't understand how the treatment of one animal is viewed as ok, but if done to another its an outrage. Fish deserve every right that dogs or cats do.

Is there less laws to protect fish than there are dogs and cats? Or, are there but they are not as strongly enforced?

Is there anything one can do to try and stop the sale of these brackish/marine fish from being sold in freshwater and improperly advertised?

Question #5:

Why is it so hard to become Vegan?

Ok, so here we go....

About 6 months ago I saw a video online called "Meet your Meat". It was an old, but still very current video about how animals are raised and slaughtered for food, or raised and used for egg and milk production. I was absolutely disgusted. I'm a big meat eater, and I looove milk, but after seeing that, I looked up a dozen more videos on Youtube showing the more current treatment of animals for slaughter. I also researched what the FDA approves for meat standards. Frankly, animals with cancer, wounds, infections and such being use to feed my belly is not appealing to me. I no longer wish to take part in the market that provides me steaks, or wings from an animal with cancer or any other such diseases.

I tried going Vegan, no meat, or even animal products. I found it very enjoyable. It was rather difficult for an avid meat eater like me to find full meals I could make, but none the less I enjoyed what I did manage to eat. My problem was I was only eating a lot of veggies, nuts, fruits, ect. I also found eating no animal products meant buying more veggies and fruits and such which increased my monthly food bills.

After a week or two of happily munching on Vegan foods, I found myself to be lightheaded, dizzy, a little confused and not able to think clearly. I got concerned about the lack of protein in my diet, but could not figure out how to get it, and so I gave up. As soon as I started eating meat, a day later I was feeling much better.

Now, I know there are proteins humans need to survive, and that meat offers all of them, but there are beans and many other none animal products that contain these proteins. I just wanted to know if anyone could help me by suggesting to me these food items and also any further information on how to eat better on a vegan diet.

Another reason that fuels my desire to figure out how to eat vegan for life is due to my weight. Im about 110lb overweight and this weight is based on me eating tons of steak, burgers, jerky, bacon, milk and egg products and did I mention jerky? :) I certainly didn't get fat off Asparagus. Yum! :P

I know not everyone likes eating Vegan, and everyone has a right to eat whatever they want. I'm not here to say vegan is the way to go or anything like that. I just feel it is the best choice for me. It will better reflect my love for animals, my demand for good quality foods, and help me be healthier.

I shop at Meijer and Walmart for food and its almost impossibly to find vegan stuff there. When I find the vegan cheese or meat patties for burgers they have egg or milk in them. So much for being vegan foods!!!! So a suggestion for what kinds of stores to shop at too would be much appreciated.

I hope someone can help me. I look forward to being able to continue eating vegan without being lightheaded or confused. lol

Question #7:

How can a car do better than the EPA estimated MPG?

The car says 28 highway, the car is a 97' MODEL. I replaced the spark plugs with NGK iridium and put a chevron fuel treatment. I filled up, and set the trip odometer. I refilled when I was about a little less than halfway on the tank. I did the math (based on what I filled up with in terms of gallons, and what I traveled). I got 30.5 MPG, how is this possible. I used cruise control around 74mph most of the time.
I have never usually gotten near the estimate. And I was carrying, some heavy passengers and luggage.
It was a road trip so basically, I filled up a few times prior and got the same results, I heard the fuel, come up to the nozzle, thats why it shut off.

Question #8:

i was all the way on E on gas and i went to get some gas, got on highway and the car cut off on me.?

car started next day and still runs. DOes that sound like clogged fuel filter maybe, or fuel pump. I have never had a problem before. I was told it could be an air bubble in the tank since i was so low and i should get some furl treatment and fill up and let car run 10 minutes.

Question #9:

Leaky fuel pump or rusted fuel tank?

I have a 1996 Kia Sephia. The car has been sitting for about three years. We tried to get the car started by putting about $20 worth of gas in the car. It wouldn't start. Turns out, the fuel pump was bad and needed to be replaced. Our mechanic said that the fuel tank had a lot of gas in it, so when he replaced the fuel pump, the fuel tank was overflowing. So basically, we had to run out all of the old gas to make sure the engine was okay. He also added a gas treatment because we mixed old and new gas. We drove the car up and down our neighborhood for about two weeks, burning gas. One night, we tried to start the car, and it would not start. A lot of gas shot out from underneath, and then the car started. We decided not to drive that night because of the gas smell, but the next morning, we started it again. It took a while to start, but once again, the gas began to leak out. The gas mainly shoots out when cranking the car, and then it leaks, sort of drips. I'm not really sure if it leaks while driving. My mechanic says that it's leaking because the fuel tank is rusted. He says that since the car was sitting for so long, it rusted out. The problem I have with that is, upon picking up the car and driving it for those two weeks, the car did not leak anything. I'm no mechanic, but I believe the leak is in the new fuel pump line he installed. My mom believes he's telling us the truth and she does not want to pay anyone else to find out for sure. Sure enough, the car was sitting for a long time, but it wasn't sitting in a puddle of water. It was in my sister's backyard, where the grass was practically bald underneath the car. So basically, what do you guys think? Rusted tank or fuel pump installed incorrectly? I'm trying to sell this car, so I'm trying to get the correct information. Please help.
Also, if the tank was so rusted as he says, wouldn't gas leak from the car when it's just sitting? Or does the pressure from it being cranked up, make it leak more noticeable?

Question #10:

Does Chevron Techron Fuel Treatment Work?

Considering it is around $12 bucks a bottle, on sale at autzone for around $10. Does it work? The reviews on every website praise it. Is it worth ten bucks? In reality nothing I have put in the car is around that price, Chevron must stand by there product to even continue selling this right?
Please don't mention Seafoam because it didn't work for me.
Its $6.99 at advance auto parts.
I never put Seafoam in the Fuel Tank, I only did a Treatment through the brake booster vacuum hose, regardless, the intake system was pretty clean.

Question #11:

Do you believe my lawyer and doctor werein cahoots to bilk me out of thousands??? ?

Few months ago, someone slammed into my truck. I called a lawyer in the phonebook to ask if I had a case. He said I had a strong case and wanted to immediately sign me up over the phone. I asked if he was willing to go all the way to litigation because the other driver was denying liability. And he said he would because it was a strong case. So i agreed to sign contingenvy agreement with him.

He also wanted me to see a chiropractor for my injuries which were minor. I asked who would pay the bill and he said dont worry about it he gets paid out of the settlement.

So I start seeing the DR and couple months later my lawyer drops my case! I asked why and he says he has too many cases and blah blah blah none of it made sense.

Few weeks later I receive a bill from the chiropractor for over $2000!!!!!!! He had charged me $150 for 5 mins of treatment. No wonder he tried to get me to come 3 times a week but I declined due to 2HR commute and which wouldve been over $5000!!!!!

I called the slimeball lawyer and he says its not his proble
I owe it because i signed the doctor's lien. He said he'd call them and work something out whatever that means.

So do i have any legal recourse since he lied and also backed out of the case??

Or am I stuck paying $2000 plus $200 in fuel going there?

Question 2: Couldnt they just bill my health insurance since I supplied the card at the first visit????

Question #12:

Why does my car keep hesistating when I step on the gas?

It's a 99 Mercury Cougar. The fuel filter has been replaced already and only seems to do this after it has warmed up considerably. I don't think it is the transmission because it isn't slipping in the same spots. I have run injector cleaner and dry gas treatment to burn the water in the fuel tank. My next guess maybe the spark plugs but I am not sure, any advice would help and be greatly appreciated.

Question #13:

97 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.8L 2wd still running bad!?

Hello everyone I need some more help. Here was my 1st problem. I got the Van from a in-law's. in-law. The van was sitting for about 6-7 months. When I got there the van was running. I drove it home and you could tell it needed a tune-up. The next day the van wouldnt start, so I did the normal thing and checked fire and gas. No spark, so I did some looking and found the Ign Coil was a common problem. Got a new one from O'Reilly's. The van started so I did a full tune up,( all 6 spark plugs, spark plug wires, air filter, oil change and fitler, add a gas treatment (because it was sitting). Just to make sure that coil was working I took a spark plug wire and spark plug and I went to each one making sure the coil was firing at all 6. I also made sure the wires going to the coil was getting the volt it need. All for wires are getting 14v. I also put on a new belt. Ok hre is the the part I dont get, the van drive great i mean great. I could not believe the difference. Well that last a whole 3 days and now it is running like crap again. At stops the van ides really rough. once i even put it in gear it starts to idel rough, get it going and its not so bad. Go on the highway and it acts like its in limp mode. (no power and takes high pm to shift. I let the neg off the battery all night to hope the pcm or something just needed reset. No luck, I did let it run and unplug a each injector one at a time to see it there is any change, in nope that maybe i could find a bad injector or something. Funny thing is the van ran better for about 5 miles after i did that???? I need help to figure this out. I plain on getting a new fuel fitler soon, I ran out of money.
Just drove it home and it got terrible gas mileage. Only got 11.2? It was around 17. Maybe a 02 sensor?
O added fuel injector cleaner when it first started to run like this.( 2 times) when the van is running good the transmission shifts fine. It's very random, I am going to try and clean the 02 sensors to see of it helps at all. I can't afford any parts or shops right now.
can the ac make my van run like crap? it has been 100+ here and i have never turned off the ac. i turned off the ac and it didnt idle as bad at all?????

Question #14:

Mercruiser Alpha 4.3l V6 losing power and smells like gas?

I have a Mercruiser Alpha one, 4.3L, 175 hp. Runs great when first starting, including 25-30 mph speeds, with OK acceleration. But after running for 5-10 minutes, it severely hesitates under heavy acceleration from a stop, has small backfires, and even quits running altogether during the acceleration. Upon re-starting, it idles fine, and will run fine under 10 mph. But at this point, will not run normally above those speeds and we can smell gas (like its not burning all the fuel). Suspected bad gas (water), so I added gas treatment and topped of with fresh gas, seemed to slightly help, but problem persists. This is the first time we've started the engine after the winter season.

Question #15:

found a car for sale, has been parked for 7 years, how do i recover it safely?

ok,its a truck, it has a police engine, im trying to get it running good enough to drive 100 miles.... to park it and finalize the work to keep it running...

1973 CA smog exempt dodge, 318 w/ interceptor, rebuilt rear end, needs major body work.... it drove to the spot it is sitting in 2004, and hasnt been touched since.....

here is my check list.... after dmv paperwork is done...

1. bring a spare gas tank and fuel line, full with seafoam engine/fuel treatment.... disconnect current gas tank lines and connect new lines to fuel pump... hide the tank in the bed or remount.

2. bring a whole set of new hoses, replace all rubber/plastic lines.

3. bring a good couple spools of wire, many gauges. reinforce ground and positive to starter, any wires that look in need of repair... replace........ bring 2 batteries and jumper cables!

4. new cap & rotor, cables & plugs.

5. new coolant & oil & brake fluids (no tranny its a stick shift.)

6. throw a blanket over the rat eaten bench seat....

7. check tires, add slime and bring 4 spares! or replace? and drive?

8. brake and light check, straiten mirrors... 1....2.......3.....go??? or no?

need some feedback here....
yeah, but thats the easy answer "tow it", wasnt looking for easy...! it ran to its spot.... why not quick tune up, get it to burn out.... and go? i could do the work listed in a couple hours....!
maybe i should have used, "how do i drive this car home???"

ok now, i skipped a step.... when changing the plugs, put a cap full of marvel mystery oil into the cylinders....

maybe use oil around the front seal, seeing i cant touch the rear seal....

the owner said he poured as into the carb and cranked it, started....
misspelled gas*****
he said he poured gas in it and it started.....

didnt wanna feel like an ass!
-myk3
oh yeah, i forgot belts,,,,,, you guys didnt even catch that! some help for an answer... i can change all the belt on that car in under 10 minutes!!!

i can do a tune up in under29 minutes for $30. its a classic, not by very-very much,
but it has potential.... if the truck ran every day and was just parked, nothing moved except mabey the wind.....

wish it was a chevy! but dodge is ok... umm... i can have all performance parts on it in a couple weeks... my car is 1/2 custom, but also 1/2 complete!
ok, no best answer yet! because i didnt even hear word about a hammer, i said body work! am i the only elusive one that can not only manifest, but spawn a reality where things impossible can be taken to a alternate dimension?!

i could probly take that dead car and make it run for under $50 bucks! mechanics... come on now!!
ummm... another thing.... its not the historical importance its the fact that a car that needs a owner who can fix it, im not talking about restoring, i can get it to run and look good for 1/2 the time some people i know takes weeks.

get it running and service as neccessary and make it look good! alternator is a 2 minute test! smoke on the exhaust is another symptom, if you pull a spark plug the color will tell you 19 different things!! no computer- gravity powered!

I havent ran my bike in alil over a month and it stayed underneath an over-hang and was cover by a bike tarp. Now i think the gas has gone bad. Question #18:

Motorcycle only idles when choke is on.?

I have a 2000 Kawasaki W650 that hasn't been run in about 3 months. When I try and start it up, it will only idle when the choke is on. Once I get going, it will run and run good when going down the highway as long as I'm giving it gas. Ive added fuel treatment to two tanks of gas with no results. I've also ran carb cleaner thru the gas lines and allowed it do drain thru the bowls to possibly clean a stuck float. I've been told its the pilot jet. Any other suggestions, or ways to fix it please.

Question #19:

Is it the SMALL minority AGAIN?

Two fans in court after fights and flair (sic) incident at Celtic friendly with Lincoln City
Jul 27 2010 Paul O'Hare

A CELTIC fan was hit by a flare as she watched the Hoops play Lincoln City in a pre-season friendly.

The incident was one of several flashpoints during and after the match, which resulted in 20 arrests.

Two Scots fans, Stuart Stanley, 32, of Uddingston, Lanarkshire, and Adam Pollock, 24, of Pollok, Glasgow, were held in custody over the weekend.

They were charged with fighting in the street and freed on bail yesterday.

Both will appear at Lincoln magistrates court on August 17.

Five fans, including the girl, were injured as a result of the violence. All went to hospital but were released after treatment.

Local police said a St George's flag was set on fire outside the Golden Cross pub before the match and tensions were heightened by pro-IRA chants.

A smoke grenade was set off.

After the game, which Celtic won 4-1, there were a number of fights involving rival fans.

Of the 20 arrests, 12 were locals and eight were visiting supporters.

More than 1000 Celtic fans travelled south for the match at the Sincil Bank Stadium on Saturday.

Football intelligence officer PC Andy Pearson said: "There was some disorder at the Golden Cross pub and some after the match.

"A lot of that came from the inflammatory nature of the songs from Celtic fans. Many of the incidents were fuelled by alcohol.

"We will be seeking banning orders for those arrested."

Before the match, police had to deal with a fight between two Celtic supporters in the city and a separate brawl in the away end of the ground.

During the game, a number of flares and smoke canisters were set off in the stadium.

There were further problems outside the Golden Cross where five of the arrests were made.

Afterwards officers were called to several fights on the lower end of the High Street where rival supporters clashed.

Lincoln City, who are in England's League Two, are managed by ex-Celtic striker Chris Sutton.
