Question: If carbon taxes work, why do people use clothes dryers in the summer? Hanging clothes out is FREE yet?

Clothes lines violate conventants where I live.I don't heat my home with gasoline.

If you have your own home it is possible but many people do not and live in apts/ condos/dorm rooms where its not allowed!edit Walmart has a drying rack for 8 bucks. They fold up flat when not in use. Use them inside.
Okay I have that as well but you also should realize that certain elements of the house ( like cooking and fireplace etc) get into the smell of your clothes..) You do not pay my electric bill and ingenuity has nothing to do with it!

I hang my clothes in the summer. Nothing like the smell of fresh sun dried clothes.I like my house cooler to begin with. In the winter, I keep the heat at 62. Makes for good sleeping at night.

I dry my whites outside on the line but the problem is that the sun bleaches the color out of my everyday clothes.Answer #7:

That's what my husband and I use. We have a tiny house, hang them next to the register, they are dry(including blue jeans) in a few hours.
Just takes a little ingenuity.
