Question: Why did the price of synthetic motor oil go up?

Synthetic motor oils are more expensive to manufacture than conventional motor oils.Answer #2:
It's the on going green movement... The Synthetic oil company's believe if congress can push the global warming enough, they can get more people to go green. They ( synthetic ) will make more money.. I have never run synthetic cause it's alot more then conventional. If price of oil is a factor, there are company's out there that sell recycled motor oil. But in my area it would cost more to ship it here than buy conventional oil at a parts house ( go figure ).. If you look, It's been colder now than a 100 years ago.... HHHMMMMM........Answer #3:
